Not just goodbye, but good riddance to be honest.  2011 was not all that good a year and indeed started off very mixed.  I was unemployed for just over four months.  Granted I walked out of a job I hated after nine years, took a job that turned out to be a nightmare, and finally got a job I enjoy. But all the same, it will be a year I will not lament over. Unemployment was a low state to be in, granted I was not the only one in the country in that situation, but all the same, it was a low moment.  I was harassed by my old boss to the point of calling the police. My ego hit rock bottom, and I felt like I could not achieve anything as people, nasty people, had told me I could not, and I believed it at the time. They were wrong, I achieved quite a bit in the end.

In 2011 I made friends with some people that I know I will be friends with for life, and others I have seen the real them, and have cut them out.  I guess, looking back on it, it was not all that bad as I got to spend lots of time with my Hubby which I have not done since we met in 1999.

I hope that 2012 is a good year, god only knows we need a good year.  I want this year to be something that I can look back on and think, yes, that was a really good year. Not only for my Hubbies health, but for life in general. I start my degree in English Language & Literature, and a second course in Business Admin.  Our new car is on its way, and other things are planned to make life a little bit better.

I welcome 2012 with open arms, a smile, and hope that it really will be a great year, not just for us, but all the people that we care for too.

Happy New Year.
